She is currently based in the Keihanshin area and performs regularly at SONE in Kobe.

Piano / Composer / Arranger: Yuki Kataoka
During high school, Yuki Kataoka played drums in the jazz band at Hyogo Prefectural Takasago High School and, at the age of 17, received an individual award at the Student Jazz Festival, often referred to as the “Koshien of jazz.”
Since then, she has built a career as a pianist and keyboardist, performing and recording over 200 shows annually across a wide range of genres, centered on jazz, including world music and pop. In addition to her live activities, she is also active in composition and production, contributing music for corporate films and movie soundtracks. In recent years, inspired by traditional music and natural sounds encountered in Bali, she has been exploring improvisational and prayer-themed soundscapes.
Her 2019 release TONE BASS talking to YUKI reached No. 1 on Amazon’s Modern Jazz New Releases chart.
In 2024, she arranged and performed all tracks on RYU-CO’s Tengoku Kotoba, with the song “Awa no Uta” surpassing 500,000 views on YouTube, drawing significant attention.
In January 2026, she released NEW MOON, a new project themed around Brazilian music.
For the tour, she is joined by acclaimed Brazilian guitarist Taku Fujii, who has successfully completed tours in South America; flutist Yuki Ichinose, known for her crystal-clear tone and featured on NHK’s “Iwate Minna no Uta”; and percussionist Roberto Kajiya, who studied in Brazil and Cuba and is active across diverse musical scenes. Together, the four artists present a new beginning of sound, woven from their unique sensibilities.

Percussion: Roberto Kajiya
Born in Kobe, Roberto Kajiya studied in Brazil in 2002 and in Cuba in 2005. While in Cuba, he trained under legendary figures of the Cuban music world, Emilio Del Monte Valdés and his son.
After returning to Japan, he has performed and recorded with numerous artists, maintaining an active career primarily in the Kansai region. Centered on Latin percussion, he performs across a wide range of genres, including jazz, pop, and world music. He is highly regarded for his playful, genre-crossing style.
In 2017, he released Oracion with Shio Akagi’s Serie AK project, receiving critical acclaim. From children’s concerts to jazz sessions, he appears on a diverse array of stages, captivating audiences with his energetic performances that make hearts dance.
